About the Models
Can beginners paint your busts and miniatures?
All miniatures are in standard STL format, both supported and not. You simply slice them using the software of your choice. Using STL files ensures smooth slicing, reliable printing, and broad accessibility for home users.
What makes Minichix Studio STL files unique?
Our sculpts are unique, crafted by artists, and made for painters and collectors—not for the mass market. We sculpt each miniature with correct anatomy, elegant forms, and fine surface detail. We are giving you models that truly showcase your painting skills.
How detailed are Minichix Studio sculpts?
It depends on the subject and style of the sculpture. Our miniatures range from more straightforward, anatomic busts to very detailed figures. Every wrinkle, texture, and form is sculpted with painters in mind. Thanks to that, your brushwork
Printing & Scaling
What file formats do you provide for 3D printing?
All miniatures are in standard STL format, both supported and not. You simply slice them using the software of your choice. Using STL files ensures smooth slicing, reliable printing, and broad accessibility for home users.
Are your STL files 3D print–ready?
Yes. We test all our files on home resin printers. We design for clean slicing and avoid floating or poorly supported parts. Our files strike a balance between artistic quality and easy printability. Each product specifies which printer was it tested on.
Do your STL files come pre-supported?
We optimise our files for easy support placement, and all of them include pre-supported versions. We focus on providing you with clean meshes so you can customise supports to suit your own setup.
What scale are your busts and miniatures?
Our busts are usually 1/10 scale, the ideal format for display painters. Figures and miniatures differ based on the concept, but each piece is crafted for a substantial visual impact.
Can I resize the STL models?
Yes. You can scale them in your slicer, but reducing the size too much may cause loss of fine detail. On the other size, enlarging the model too much may cause details to look too blocky. Our models are sculpted to size, so we suggest leaving them as such.
Can I modify or customise the STL files?
You may adjust files for personal use to suit your painting or display preferences. You can’t redistribute or sell the prints or STL files. This maintains the designs’ exclusivity and integrity.
Which printers are best for your models?
Our files are designed for resin 3D printers. You can scale them up or down, but resin gives the best detail.
What software do I need to use your STL files?
You’ll need slicing software such as Lychee or Chitubox. A basic understanding of orientation and support helps achieve the best results.
How do you ensure your miniatures print without fragile, floating parts?
All parts of our designs are fully grounded or connected. We test print all models to ensure every part is easy to support. So, your prints are strong, reliable, and still show artistic detail.
Usage & Licensing
Can I sell prints of your STL models?
No. All files are for personal use only. Selling prints or redistributing files isn’t allowed. We are exploring the possibility of launching a licensed seller programme in the future.
How do I download STL files after purchase?
Once you complete your order, you’ll get instant access to the STL files through your account. Files are available for immediate download, so you can start printing right away.
Are the models digital files or physical miniatures?
All products are digital STL files for 3D printing at home. Sometimes, we show painted versions for inspiration, but we don’t send physical models.
Painting & Tutorials
Can beginners paint your busts and miniatures?

Gaming minis are small and functional for tabletop play. Our busts and figures are larger, designed for painters, and ideal for display, competitions, and collectors.
Community & Releases
Can I request a specific character or theme?
Yes, we welcome community feedback. Although we don’t accept direct commissions, we welcome suggestions for future releases.
How can I share my painted miniatures with the Minichix community?
Tag us on social media or post on our Facebook Page, we appreciate it a lot. Sharing your work helps inspire other painters and connects you with like-minded collectors.
Do you offer free STL samples?
Yes. We occasionally share free STL files for busts, bases, or miniatures. This way, you can test the quality of our files before making a purchase. Check our shop or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
Maintenance & Collector Concerns
How should I care for my painted miniatures to prevent damage?
Keep them dust-free, away from direct sunlight, and in a stable environment. Handle with clean hands to avoid oily stains and scratches. Use proper storage or display solutions to protect delicate areas.
Do temperature, humidity, or sunlight affect the miniatures over time?
Yes. Resin can warp in high heat, paint can fade in strong sunlight, and high humidity can affect both. Keep your miniatures indoors at a stable room temperature and moderate humidity.
What is the best way to display painted miniatures safely?
To make sure your miniatures are safe, use enclosed cabinets or shelves with stable bases, indirect lighting, and minimal handling. Adding small risers or clear acrylic supports can showcase them nicely and protect them from damage.
